Silicon carbide porous ceramic materials are prepared by molding and special high temperature sintering process with corundum sand, silicon carbide, cordierite and other raw materials as the main materials.
It has the advantages of high temperature resistance, high pressure, acid, alkali and organic medium corrosion resistance, good biological inertia, controllable pore structure and high open porosity, long service life and good product regeneration performance. It can be applied to various media precision filtration and separation, high pressure gas exhaust noise reduction, gas distribution and electrolytic membrane, etc.Silicon carbide porous ceramics have the following characteristics---
(1) High porosity: the important characteristic of porous silicon carbide ceramics is that it has more uniform and controllable pores. There are two types of pores: open pores have the functions of filtering, absorbing, absorbing and eliminating echo, while closed pores are beneficial to blocking heat, sound and the transfer of liquid and solid particles;
(2) High strength: porous ceramic materials are generally made of metal oxide, silicon dioxide, silicon carbide, etc. after high temperature calcination, these materials have high strength. During the calcination process, the boundary part of raw material particles melt and bond, forming ceramics with high strength;
(3) Stable physical and chemical properties: silicon carbide porous ceramic material can be resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, can also withstand high temperature and high pressure, has good self-cleaning state, will not cause secondary pollution, is a green functional material;
(4) High filtration precision and good regeneration performance: porous ceramic materials used as filter materials have narrow pore size distribution range, high porosity and specific surface area. The filter materials are in full contact with the ceramic materials, and the pollutants such as suspended solids, colloids and microorganisms are blocked on the surface or inside of the filter media, and the filtration effect is good. After being used for a period of time, silicon carbide porous ceramic filter material can recover its original filtration capacity by backwashing with gas or liquid.
